Piedmont Horse Expo
March 29, 2008: 9AM-4PM
Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise
We are proud to announce the first annual Piedmont Horse Expo presented
in conjunction with the Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension Office. This event is intended to educate the
horse community, showcase vendors whose products and services would be of
interest to the equestrians, and best of all will allow local 4-H horse and pony
clubs to promote themselves while raising money to support their ongoing
activities.
There will be a full schedule of talks throughout the day. Speakers include veterinarians,
trainers, farriers, hay experts, pasture management experts, and equine
nutritionists. In addition to the
talks, there will be live horse demonstrations. The intimate, informal, setting will
allow ample opportunity to ask questions both during and after the talks and
demos. In between talks there will
be plenty of time to walk through the vendors showcase and familiarize yourself
with a myriad of products and services available to both horse and
rider.
There will also be pony rides and a petting zoo. Demonstrations include horsemanship,
trailer loading, pre-purchase exam protocol, hay evaluation, barn electrical
safety, and a great Draft Horse exhibition. As you can see there will be a full
day of education, activity, and fun.
We hope you will join us.
